    Ein Projekt im Rahmen des weltweiten Festivals HipChips der Electronic Music Foundation, New York. Die Sofa-Landschaft wurde freundlicherweise von der Kooperative das möbel zur Verfügung gestellt.

He developed and deepened interest in philosophy and in multiple expressions of the experimental art: video, installation, intermedia. he runs the Hertzoscópio - Experimental & Transdisciplinary Arts Festival, dedicated to experimental and transdisciplinary arts.

    joão castro pinto's audiovisual artistic approach reaches for an experimental aesthetics’ that longs to evocate & recreate environments and sceneries that are directly related with experiences connected with the richness and diversity of the landscape : "sound/visual scapes", presenting nonlinear narratives and perspectives. the artists considers the use of computers as a modus operandi that allows countless possibilities of affirmation/(re)creation - performance. The creative function (interactive) that these computerized mediums have confirms a creative power that up rises through their progressive experimental use, this fact transforms the creative output and representation of established artistic concepts and ideas.

    double-bass player, composer and digital artist active in the fields of electronic and improvised music, performance art, jazz and contemporary music. pieces for chamber ensembles, theatre and film. focus on works that combine digital sound and images, abstract graphics and live improvisation. personal research in interaction between instruments, moving images and electronic sound. solo and collaborative projects in electro-acoustic music or mixed-media pieces for the stage and installations. invited as lecturer and guest artist in various cultural and academic institutions. concerts in clubs and festivals and exhibitions throughout europe, the united states and canada.

    with a background in improvisational music and soundscape composition, jasch applies similar processes to making images as he does to making music. texturing and layering, temporal evolving structures, and brief flashes of light all play important roles in creating a sense of abstract, visual movement in jasch's work, which oscillates and vibrates in a almost musical manner. no element is completely pre-produced, thus resulting in images that are suprising, sensuous, and erratic.

    born 1960 as karlheinz essl in vienna. austrian composer, improviser and performer. he studied composition with friedrich cerha and musicology in vienna (doctorate 1989 with a thesis on anton webern). as a double bassist, he played in chamber and experimental jazz ensembles. besides writing experimental instrumental music, he performs on his own electronic instrument m@ze°2, develops software environments for computer-aided composition and creates generative sound and video environments – often in collaboration with artists from other fields.

    composer-in-residence at the darmstadt summer courses (1990-94). he composed a commission for IRCAM, paris (1993) and was presented at the salzburg festival (1997) with portrait concerts and sound installations. he teaches „computer aided composition“ at the „studio for advanced music & media technology“ of the anton-bruckner private university, linz. since 1994, he curates experimental music concerts and sound installations at the „essl collection“ in klosterneuburg.
