Von Fluxus-Traditionen inspiriert, setzt der britische Cellist Anton Lukoszevieze auf die Erweiterung seines Instrumentes durch visuelle und aktionistische Komponenten. In Zeiten zunehmender Spezialisierung präsentiert er sich als vielfältig begabter Künstler, der zugleich als Komponist, Cello-Virtuose, Ensembleleiter, Videokünstler und Maler tätig ist.

In Zeiten zunehmender Spezialisierung präsentiert er sich als vielfältig begabter Künstler, der zugleich als Komponist, Cello-Virtuose, Ensembleleiter, Videokünstler und Maler tätig ist. Neben eigenen Werken stehen an diesem Abend auch Kompositionen von Nam June Paik, George Brecht und Jennifer Walshe auf dem Programm.

anton lukoszevieze (* 1965) is renowned as a cellist and director of the ensemble apartment house.

my work is multi-faceted and intertwined, it encompasses my activities as a performer of contemporary music, improvisation, performance art, creation of musical pieces, soundscapes, paintings, drawings, objects and digital video films. the methods i use for creating my musical compositions stem from the use of number systems, chance graphics, indeterminacy, improvisation, intuition, love and the transformation of found material. in 2001 i moved from the city to the country, the space, light, sky, silence and sounds in and around my studio have had a profound effect on my work, as have the books beside my bed.
